Chongyan Liu was selected for the 'Doc Station' in the prestigious Berlinale Talents in 2024, and attended with a feature documentary project, Niche of the Dragon. Gerard has been consulting on the project, now renamed The Missing People, which is in active development. The producer is Carla Alis of Les Films du Chrysanthème; co-producers are sought. Gerard's consultancy on Chongyan Liu's and Thomas Moore's future work in production and distribution (through their company Random Headache), has led to involvement in a number of short films, starting with festival submissions for Hanul Seo's After That, Yifei Tang's Facing East, Chenzhe He's Meander on Through and Baowei Guo's The Apple Never Falls. The latter received its World Premiere at the Avanca Festival in Portugal.

​​Gerard is Consultant on Philippika - Strangers Need Love Too, Sabrina Mertens' second feature film, which is her graduation film from Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg. (Sabrina's first feature, Time Of Moulting, was selected for Rotterdam and played commercially in the US.) Philippika is produced by Lorenzo Gandolfo; post-production is under way. Deborah Phillips' short film 1014, on which Gerard was Associate Producer, had its world premiere at International Film Festival Rotterdam in 2024, and was later selected for FICUNAM, Kassel, Bolzano, Prisme (Nantes) and other festivals. Here's a link to the Rotterdam programme:

​Gerard is an Executive Producer on a tetralogy of feature films, Light and the Beginning of Future, directed by Tin Dirdamal: Dark Light Voyage (now taken out of circulation by its maker) and the forthcoming films Beyond Eden, No God Above and The Last Film. Meanwhile, Saigon, Kosovo - one of Tin's The Thing About AI is... pair of short films, on which Gerard was also Executive Producer - premiered at Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival in October 2024, in the 'Fascinations' section, and won the section's main award. (Tin is a previous award-winner at the festival with Dark Light Voyage.) Saigon, Kosovo later played the Thessaloniki Documentary Festival and Ambulante Festival in Mexico.
